Supplemental Plans
Cover the “Gaps” in Your Current Major Medical Coverage…
Supplemental Plans (or “Gap Plans”) are utilized by consumers to “fill the gaps” of high deductible ACA compliant Florida health insurance plans, STM Policies, or to cover items that may not be included in your health insurance policy. These types of plans are NOT a substitute for a Major Medical ACA compliant or STM health plan. Learn how to “enhance” your existing medical coverage below.

FL DENTAL INSURANCE & DISCOUNT PLANS
Dental Insurance & Discount Plans – typically cover preventative dental care, and more extensive dental procedures. Dental “Insurance” plans have waiting periods for major dental services, and have annual caps on benefits. Dental “Discount” Plans don’t have waiting periods, and provide immediate “discounts” only, for covered services with in-network providers. If you need dental work in the near future, a dental discount plan may provide you with the most savings on those upcoming procedures. Click on the links below, do a search to see if your dentist accepts the plan, and read the details of the plan benefits before applying:

Critical Illness Plans – Typically pay a fixed benefit or lump sum for heart attacks, cancer and strokes to assist in paying your our of pocket costs incurred on your Major Medical ACA plan, or for other non covered expenses.

FLORIDA SHORT TERM HEALTH PLANS
The ACA penalty changed to 0% in 2019.
Short Term Health Plans are NOT ACA compliant, NOT eligible for ACA tax credits, and do NOT cover pre-existing conditions. They exclude coverage for prescriptions, maternity, mental health, preventative care, and other limits/exclusions. (Read your policy) These plans should only be utilized by consumers who are not eligible for tax credits (due to higher income) and in great health.
These plans can be a great bridge for consumers who are: between jobs, awaiting group coverage to be effective, not eligible for ACA enrollment, or eligible for Medicare in the near future.
